- Engineering Manager at Mews, a cloud-native hospitality management platform used by modern hoteliers worldwide.
Ematiq a.s. - Development Team Lead (April 2022 - November 2024)
- Directly managed 7 Python and Scala software engineers responsible for integrating critical APIs for trading into our internal product.
- Transformed the team to be product-oriented, solving business problems and not arbitrary tasks with negative PnL.
- Integrations delivered by our team resulted in generating millions of euros in revenue for the company each year.
- Optimized and generalized process for integrating new APIs, reduced time needed for one integration by 60 %, thus making the delivery of the solution shorter.
- Provided guidance and vision to the team, actively resolved issues, and devised strategies to acquire highly valuable real-time data.
- Helped create clear processes for product delivery and designed a bonus scheme to improve transparency of company expectations.
Avast a.s. - Software Engineer (July 2019 - March 2022)
- Member of the platform team responsible for developing and maintaining connectors that consume data globally, handling tens of terabytes daily.
- Developed an automated pipeline to decrypt encrypted viruses using various heuristics, enabling Avast to detect otherwise undetectable malicious software.
- Contributed to developing and managing microservices responsible for timely and secure deployment of critical security updates.
- Developed Python microservices communicating over gRPC, Kafka, and RabbitMQ deployed to Kubernetes.
- Focused on efficiently handling high loads of data using asynchronous programming.
